Press Profiles - Lisa Owens

Lisa Owens is a poet and fiction writer from St. Louis, Missouri, who’s passionate about connection to self, nature, and others. Her work seeks to inspire, instill strength and build a relationship with the reader. In addition to her debut short story collection, Soul Fire: A Fictional Novella in Pursuit of Life and Love, thirty-three original poems have been previously accepted by publications such as Tiny Seed Journal, Plants & Poetry Journal, Epoch Literary Journal, Analogies & Allegories Literary Magazine, Pluvia Literary Magazine, and The Sleeve Magazine. As well as anthologies and works by Quillkeepers Press, Poets Choice, Wingless Dreamer, Pile Press, among others.  She has also served as a poetry reader for Moonlove Press, a publication that features love-focused poetry by women writers. As a lifelong learner, she is pursuing two degrees from the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, where she most recently obtained a Certificate in Creative Writing. When not writing, she enjoys walking through nature, enjoying a Guinness with great friends, or snuggling up with her two boys.
